The very first escape game was a word puzzle type of escape game held by the well-known Japanese studio called SCRAP in 2007.They brought this new form of game to China, Taiwan, Singapore and other countries, starting a fever of escape games in Asian. At first, SCRAP’s games put more emphasize on word puzzles instead of the real room scene to escape. Not until they presented their work, Escape From The Red Room, did they introduce the concept of ROOM escape. In 2012, creative teams all over Asia had developed their own local themes of room escape game. The industry has been thriving since then. And there are many Asia based creative team branching out to the global market nowadays.
